On Tuesday, 2 February 2021, the Innovation Centre of the Ústí Region together with the CzechInvest agency and the Ústí and Labem Region announced the best business innovators in 2020. Pardam Nano4fibers took 1st place in the category of small and medium enterprises and the title of the Innovative Enterprise of the Ústí nad Labem Region of 2020 for the development and modification of nanofiber materials and also for launching mass production of a FFP2 certified respirator.
“In November 2020, we enrolled our FFP2 certified product in the competition. And I am proud to say now that since January 2021, our product has been FFP3 certified,” says Jan Buk, CEO of Pardam, adding: “The award goes primarily to our team who have been doing some incredible work during the hectic year. And it was not hectic just for us, I believe. In the spring of 2020, there were 8 of us in the company, now we have more than 50 employees. Back then, we managed to produce 5,000 respirators per month, by now that figure has gone up to 1.8 million FFP2 and FFP3 respirators. So, the award goes to the team for the yearlong sweat and toil.”
The event was organised by the Innovation Centre of the Ústí Region, the Ústí nad Labem Region, and the regional office of the CzechInvest agency. Partners included Komerční banka, the University of Jan Evangelista Purkyně in Ústí nad Labem, and the Chamber of Commerce of the Ústí nad Labem Region. The event was supported by the project Support and Development of the Innovation Environment in the Ústí and Labem Region.
